YORKTOWN, VA--1st Advantage Federal Credit Union and AFFN (Armed
Forces Financial Network) have joined together to donate $3,000
in phone cards to the USO of Hampton Roads. 1st Advantage donated
$1,500 and was able to double the gift with a matching grant from
AFFN. The phone cards provide local soldiers who are deployed overseas,
as well as soldiers stationed locally and are separated from their
families, with a link to home. "We realize the morale boost
that soldiers serving in the Middle East receive when they are able
to talk to their loved ones back home, "says Adrian "Casey"
Duplantier, Jr., 1st Advantage FCU President/CEO, and "1st
advantage is proud to be able to provide so many servicemen and
women with that opportunity."
"1st Advantage FCU has traditionally provided outstanding
service and support to the troops and their families. AFFN is proud
to support 1st Advantage FCU in this giving campaign," said
John Broda, AFFN Executive Vice president.
